The 7th Medical Group provides personalized health care through military TRICARE Prime teams staffed by board certified family practice physicians, flight surgeons, pediatricians, internists, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. The facility boasts specialty clinics for optometry, mental health and minor surgical procedures and gynecology.

Additional services available include immunizations, laboratory, radiology, physical therapy, pharmacy and dental. Obstetrical services have moved to a local civilian TRICARE network.

The 7th Medical Group does not have an emergency room. However, 24-hour ambulance service is available. In case of an on-base emergency, dial 911. This number will patch you through to the Fire Department, Security Forces and the Medical Group. Emergency services are provided through Hendrick Medical Center (regional trauma center) and Abilene Regional Medical Center.

Patients can get advice or information on health care issues from the TRICARE information line, (800) 611-2875. This line connects patients to an advice nurse service provided by the TRICARE contractor. If instructed by the health care information line to contact your primary care manager, call 696-2334.

Appointments are available through a centralized voice information system. This system directs the caller to the appropriate clinic and provides valuable information about the clinic and its hours. Beneficiaries can call the system at 696-4677. Customers can schedule appointments Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There are limited appointments available on weekends and holidays. Call 696-2334 for an acute care appointment. Flyers should call the flight medicine clinic at 696-5490.

For appointments or report to the aerospace medicine clinic Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Newcomers will receive specific information and enrollment materials during the base in-processing briefing.
