To process Personally Procured/Performed (PPM) paperwork for payment, please contact the Personal Property Processing Office, 75 LRS/LGRDF, at (801) 775-2849, located in Building 430. To file a loss/damage claim through the government,contact the Law Center (Claims Office) at (801) 777-7255, located in Building 1278.
On-base Housing
The base housing office operates and maintains 1,138 family units and the dormitories. The office is located in Building 180, Room 106. Call (801) 777-1840 for more details.
Family housing is divided into basically four areas. The two largest housing areas are located in the southwest corner of the base on either side of Sixth Street. Other locations are between D and E Avenue in the East Area, and north of Georgia Street in the West Area. The homes are available to all ranks from each branch of service. Waiting lists for the two, three and four-bedroom units range from two to 12 months. Each home has a refrigerator, gas or electric range, dishwasher, disposal, evaporative cooler and a carport or garage. Units are one or two story, and some have basements.
Off-base Housing
The off-base referral service at the base housing office, Building 180, is limited to providing sales and rental listings. Members are cautioned to avoid disputes or misunderstandings when entering into a rental agreement and ensure the information is part of a written contract.
Street Addresses
Many Utah towns use a unique grid system that dates from pioneer times for locating houses or businesses. While a newcomer might find an address like "388 East 200 South" confusing, its location is simple. Each town has a Center Street, running east and west, and Main Street, running north and south. The aforementioned address would be two blocks south of Center Street, and three blocks east of Main. Most telephone directories have city maps and street location guides.
