Physiological Training Center
The Physiological Training Center (PTC) was first established in 1986 and became fully operational in late 1988. The PTC houses one of two Air Force human centrifuges in the world. It is the only centrifuge in the Air Force used for training pilots and crew members to tolerate the demands of flight in today's modern high-performance fighter aircraft. The PTC also houses an altitude chamber to provide Aerospace Physiology training to aircrew from all types of aircraft. This center develops all fighter-specific acceleration training for the Air Force. In addition, the PTC is actively involved in High Altitude Airdrop Mission Support (HAAMS).
