Legal Office

The Office of the Staff Judge Advocate provides legal counsel to commanders and base leaders on myriad matters, including military justice, quality force management, civil law, labor law, environmental law, contract law, ethics law, operational law, and torts and claims law. The office also provides legal assistance concerning personal, non-criminal matters to active duty military members of allied armed forces serving in the United States, retired personnel, as well as survivors and dependent family members. Those eligible to receive legal assistance may meet with an attorney for legal advice on a walk-in basis Monday through Thursday, 8 to 9 a.m.

Notary services are available Monday through Thursday, 1 to 3 p.m. The office also provides assistance to individuals wishing to process claims against the government. Public Affairs Office

The Public Affairs Office serves the entire Malmstrom community with a variety of information media, including the base website, weekly e-mail news updates, this base guide, the base marquee system and cable channel seven, the Commander's Access Channel.

Public Affairs professionals also tell the Malmstrom story off base through their liaison with local, regional and national print and broadcast news media. The base tour program and Speakers' Bureau give local, statewide, U.S. and Canadian citizens the opportunity to see and hear about Malmstrom's mission firsthand.
