Welcome to McChord Air Force Base. As you arrive and get settled in, there are several important inprocessing steps you should start as soon as you arrive.

All active duty service members are required to inprocess through their Squadron Commander's Support Staff upon arrival. At that time your relocation package will be opened and the Commander's Support Staff will collect your Unit Personnel Records Group and give back all other records, such as medical, dental and on-the-job training records.Your Commander's Support Staff will schedule you for the weekly Newcomers Orientation Program. At this orientation, you will attend briefings provided by different base agencies on McChord and complete your medical, dental and finance in-processing. Medical personnel will take your medical records and schedule you for any medical/dental appointments deemed necessary by the 62nd Medical Group.

Please bring all receipts necessary for completing your travel voucher, which will be done during the finance in-processing portion. Please keep in mind that the Newcomers Orientation will be an all-day event. Spouses are encouraged to attend, so if you have children, please plan ahead for child care.
