The Child Development Center is equipped to care for children from six weeks to eight years old. There is also an enrichment program available for pre-school children ages three to five years old. Hourly care is available with reservation from ages one to five years old. There are a variety of payment options available. Normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. for children six months to five years old. For children 6 weeks to 6 months old, the hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The CDC is closed weekends and holidays. For more information, call (940) 676-2038.

The Family Child Care offers care for children of activeduty and retired military members, DoD and NAF employees and contractors. Programs offered for children two weeks to 14 years old are full-time, part-time, dropins, infant, evenings, weekends, extended duty, volunteer and PCS. The program is administered through the family day care coordinator. It provides licensed child care in base housing units under Air Force guidance and training programs. The 82nd Mission Support Group commander grants the privilege to people in base housing who want to provide service to other Air Force families. For more information, call (940) 676-4237.

The Airmen & Family Readiness Center, located in Building 962 at the corner of Ninth Avenue and Avenue I, serves as a focal point for helping military members and their families adapt to the Air Force way of life.

The A&FRC assists all deploying members in maintaining communication with their loved ones while there gone. The center offers the Hearts Apart Support Group and morale calls for the spouses left behind.

The center provides an avenue for newly arriving spouses to learn about the base and the local communities through a monthly offers military spouse. Other programs and services include financial counseling, budget preparation and working with creditors.

The Transition Assistance Program is geared toward helping retirees and those separating from the service make the transition from the Air Force to civilian life. The A&FRC also operates the Career Focus Program, helping military spouses seek employment in the local area. Family Life Development classes help people cope with day-to-day problems, and the Air Force Aid Society provides funds for emergency situations as well as education assistance.

The A&FRC assists all personnel with their PCS moves by providing a smooth class and SITES packages as well as video's on all Air Force bases.
