Administered by the Airmen & Family Readiness Center, this official
emergency assistance organization for the Air Force supplements the
relief work of the American Red Cross and other agencies. It provides
financial assistance in the form of non-interest loans or grants in the case

The American Red Cross is available to the military members and
their families to verify emergency illnesses or deaths, other emergencies
for emergency leave purposes, and health and welfare messages.

Office hours are weekdays, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The main exchange complex features a barber and beauty shop,
laundry-dry cleaning-alterations service, GNC, optical shop, portrait
studio and flower shop. Inside in the Food Court, there's an Anthony's
Pizza, Charlie's Steakery and a Cinnabon/Seattle's Best
Coffee shop. The Four Seasons Store, which sells lawn and garden accessories,
becomes Toyland during the holiday season. The main exchange is open seven
days a week which makes every day "no tax day." For more information, call

The Class Six store offers a wide variety of liquors, cordials, beers, wines, snacks
and soft drinks. The selection of imported bees and wines is outstanding. The
Class Six Store is located in Building 125 next to the Commissary.
Along with numerous snack bars and automated food facilities located on Sheppard,
AAFES provides base personnel with a Burger King across the parking lot
from the main exchange. You'll also find Running Chef mobile snack trucks in
operation throughout Sheppard.
The military clothing sales store provides a full range of issue and commercial
uniform items for service members as well as PT gear for all branches. They
also carry the working uniforms for the Navy and the Digi BDU's for the Marines
and insignia for all services. They also carry a full line of boots and shoes.
Customers can use the direct-dial red phone, located in the store, to order Navy
and Marine uniforms and have them quickly shipped. Also available: an alterations
shop; rush orders for thin ribbons and nametags; special measurements for hard to fit sizes; books on the professional reading
list and PFE study material; souvenirs and
specialty coins; flags; T-shirts, sweatshirts and
jackets all geared for the military person. Military
sunglasses and watches are also available.
