Fort Benning | Arrival Information
All permanent party personnel are required to report to the Installation Replacement Division Building 2607 located in Soldiers’ Plaza. This facility is open 24 hours, seven days a week. New arrivals to Fort Benning will receive a convenient and short in processing, usually ranging between one to three days, depending on the date and time arrival. Soldiers here in TDY status, need to report directly to the unit stated on their orders. The unit will schedule all necessary appointments.

To in process, Soldiers will need copies of their PCS orders (with amendments if applicable), DA Form 31 (leave form), personnel file and medical and dental records. Officers and NCOs need a copy of their latest OER/NCOER or DA Form 1059. For more information, call (706) 545-4577/3608.

Moving is a natural part of life for Soldiers and their Families. The Fort Benning Army Community Service Center Relocation Readiness Program offers comprehensive services to Soldiers and Family Members that are designed to assist with their Permanent Change of Station move to Fort Benning and make the process as smooth as possible. The relocation program-lending closet is available to personnel and their Families newly assigned to Fort Benning. The Lending Closet provides kitchen totes, irons, ironing boards, sleeping mats, infant items and other household items. These items are loaned to Soldiers and their Families awaiting shipment of their household goods, which is typically 30 days. Exceptions are made when there is an unforeseen delay. Newcomer family orientations and bus tours are held monthly (except in December). This is a great opportunity to get to know all about Fort Benning and the surrounding area.
