Welcome to the Army Education Center at the Robert C. McEwen Education Complex.
Here you will find both traditional and non-traditional courses by local colleges and
other Department of Defense/Department of the Army programs designed to enhance
Soldier and workforce readiness through education.
The Army Education Center provides a wide range of services to both Soldiers and
Family members at Fort Drum. Co-located with the post library in Bldg. P-4300, the center provides traditional and nontraditional educational
opportunities and counseling services for the military, their
Families, and the civilian workforce. The education center supports
not only Fort Drum, but also Watervliet Arsenal, N.Y.

BASIC SKILLS EDUCATION PROGRAM

The Basic Skills Education Program (BSEP) is a 17-day,
on-duty program designed to provide Soldiers with instruction
on math, reading, and language skills. The goal is to improve job performance, prepare Soldiers for advanced schooling, civilian higher education, increase reenlistment
options and enhance trainability.
Hours: Mon-Fri, 9 a.m.-noon; 1 p.m.-4 p.m, (as scheduled).
MULTI-USE LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER
The Multi-use Learning Resource Center (MLF) provides a
wide range of educational services and resources to the military
community. Some of these services and resources are: Army
Correspondence Course Program assistance, MOS Library
reference materials, various information and study guides on
military and civilian testing, foreign language CD-ROMs and
self-study material for reading, grammar, GED preparation,
and English-as-a-Second Language study material.
Hours: Mon-Thurs, 9 a.m.-noon & 12:30-9:45 p.m.; Fri,
9 a.m.-noon & 12:30-5 p.m.
COUNSELING
Army counselors are available to support Fort Drum
active-duty personnel, their adult Family members, Reserve components, and other services in a variety of
counseling settings.
