Fort Huachuca | Housing
Fort Huachuca has 1,649 units. Of that total, 215 units are designated as officers' quarters, and 1,434 units are listed as adequate enlisted quarters. Housing construction includes Historic, Wherry, MCA and Capehart. All family quarters on post are equipped with refrigerators and ranges. Cable television can be connected for a nominal monthly rate. Telephone service for quarters is available through U.S. Qwest Communications.

Senior officers reside in a row of large adobe quarters along Grierson Avenue. These two-story homes date from 1884 and are part of the old cavalry fort now listed as a State and National Historical Landmark.

The post has nine different housing areas:
  • Cavalry Park 1-5—General, senior and field grade officer quarters.
  • Signal Village 3 and Cavalry Park 6—Company grade officer quarters.
  • Bonnie Blink and Gatewood Housing 4—Quarters for senior non-commissioned officers from E-7 to E-9.
  • DeAnza Village, Miles Manor, Pershing Plaza (East and West), Coronado Village, Signal Village 2 and Gatewood Housing 2 and 3—Quarters for enlisted personnel from private to staff sergeant.
  • Mesquite Village—Quarters for junior enlisted personnel from sergeant to private.
The communities of Sierra Vista, Huachuca City, Tombstone, Bisbee and Benson provide a selection of housing for military and civilian personnel. Available facilities include apartments, duplexes, mobile homes and single-dwelling houses. There are no mobile home facilities on post.
