The Directorate of Morale,Welfare and Recreation encompasses a wide range of activities and programs designed to improve the life of active duty military personnel and their families. DMWR is comprised of Army Community Service, Business Activities, Child and Youth Services, Community Recreation, NAF Support Management and Army Lodging.
Programs offered by MWR include family programs, libraries, sports,
fitness, clubs, golf, bowling, and recycling.
All MWR programs are open to military personnel and their family
members.Most programs are also open to Department of Defense civilian
employees and their family members. Generally speaking, however, Fort
Knox's MWR facilities serve everyone.
The Leaders Club is an all ranks, open-to-the-public club specializing in
catering, conferences, meetings and off-premises catering. The Bullion
Room is currently open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights for casual
fine dining.Reservations are welcomed for the Bullion Room. The Fiddler's
Green Grill serves lunch Monday through Friday. The Fiddlers Green
Lounge offers entertainment Wednesday through Friday evenings. There
are other special events and activities scheduled throughout the year. This
facility is also available for hosting official command functions and serves
as the primary fine dining facility for all special conferences and events
hosted by Fort Knox.
The Rocker II is a newly renovated facility and is open to all Active Duty
Military, National Guard, Reservists, their
Family members, DoD Civilians and Contractors. Authorized patrons may
sign in two guests per person. Patrons must be 21 years or older. The Rocker offers membership to non commissioned officers (corporal through sergeant major). Lunch is offered to the entire community from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.Monday through Friday.The
club offers six nights of entertainment which includes Karaoke, Country
and R&B DJ,Video Jockey, patio DJ and live bands.
Strike Zone themed eatery is located inside Houston Bowling Center
and offers pizza, Philly steak and chicken grilled sandwiches, as well as
salads made to order. Strike Zone is open to the public and operates seven
days a week.
The Fort Knox Autocrafts Center is a 42-bay facility that provides car repair
services as well as a do-it-yourself facility. The center
offers quick oil change service and the latest in
equipment, manuals and tools.
