JBER Armed Services YMCA of Alaska

Armed Services YMCA of Alaska is a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of programs and services for our military and their family members to provide a support network and recreational opportunities and help make military life easier. There are more than 20 free and low-cost programs and services, and unlike the community Y with the swim and gym, there are no membership fees or dues to use our programs.

Here are a few of our programs and services:

  • Teddy’s Child Watch — free child care during medical appointments.
  • Y on Wheels Shuttle Service — door-to-door on-base shuttle for $1 per ride. Call 907-384-3733 for a pickup.
  • Military Welcome Centers — get all the information about our programs and services.
  • Airport Military Courtesy Lounges — in Anchorage and Fairbanks airports.
  • Free tickets and giveaways.
  • Father-Daughter Dance.
  • Mother-Son Adventure.
  • Food pantry.

For more information, visit us on the web at www.asymca.org/alaska, email welcome.center@akasymca.org or call 907-552-9622. Make sure to sign up for our weekly email memo at our website, and friend us on Facebook for all the up-to-date announcements, contests and giveaways.
