Commercial bus service is not available between the Marine Corps Logistics Base and the city of
Albany. Base Garrison Mobile Equipment Branch provides transportation to and from the Albany
airport and the Greyhound bus station for those going to or returning from official travel. This does
not include individuals going on leave.
GME has a dispatcher on duty week days from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except holidays. The dispatcher
can be reached at (229) 639-5665/5639. For transportation after normal working hours, call
the Officer of the Day at (229) 639-5206. Other bus service is provided for Marines, Sailors and their
dependents stationed at MCLB Albany for events in the local area that has been scheduled through
the Information, Tickets and Tours Office located at the Marine Corps Exchange.
When checking-in, base maps and directions can be obtained at the main entrance of the installation.
The Installation Personnel Administration Center serves as the conduit of administrative functions for
all Marines aboard MCLB Albany. It is the initial point of entry/departure for Marines check-in or
check-out of the base. Additionally it provides numerous services including issuing Permanent Change
of Station (PCS) orders and Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) orders, processing travel claims, conducting
audits, processing of correspondence and running entitlements and training entries. Hours of
operation are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For information call (229) 639-7150/6995.
Bachelor Officer Quarters are not available aboard MCLB Albany. For assistance in locating suitable
housing in the local community, please contact the Housing Referral Office at (229) 639-5963.
Bachelor Enlisted Quarters are available and personnel should contact the Assistant Bachelor
Housing Manager located in Building 7107 at (229) 639-5132/6123 or the Bachelor Housing Manager
located at the Live Oak Lodge at (229) 639-5614 during normal working hours for assistance.
If you arrive in the evening or on the weekend, please contact the duty noncommissioned officer in Building 7107 for the assignment of temporary
quarters. On the next business day, staff noncommissioned
officers should report to the
Live Oak Lodge and sergeants and below to
Building 7107 for assignment to permanent
quarters.
The Housing Office, located in the housing
area at 9203A Williams Blvd., is open Monday
through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except holidays.

Military orders direct that all incoming active
duty personnel, regardless of marital/family
status, must report to the Housing Office before
making any off-base housing commitments. All
personnel reporting for duty at MCLB Albany
must check-in with the Housing Referral Service
Office, whether or not assistance is
requested. Military personnel who are not eligible
for family housing or who are awaiting
privatized housing on-base may obtain assistance
in locating off-base housing through the
Housing Referral Service Office. The program
is designed to assist active duty personnel,
civilian employees and military retirees in
locating suitable, non-discriminatory housing
in the community.
