Medical

The Branch Medical Clinic is located in Building 1175, and it is the station's only medical treatment facility. The clinic's mission is to provide safe,effective and efficient outpatient care to active duty service members, their family members and retirees. The clinic provides basic family practice medicine. They have a full ancillary department and a limited number of specialty services. The clinic is part of the Prime Tricare network. Patients must enroll through the Tricare Service Center to receive care. Tricare is an enrollment-based system devised to provide beneficiaries with a primary care manager who will assess each patient's medical needs and provide appropriate medical care. The Tricare Service Center, located next to the clinic,provides medical benefit and enrollment information for family members and retirees.The MCAS community has more than 12,000 Department of Defense beneficiaries, approximately 5,000 are enrolled and treated at the clinic. The remaining 7,000 are enrolled through the local Tricare network in the Yuma community.

All inpatient care for active duty service members, their family members and retirees is provided through Yuma Regional Medical Center,Naval Medical Center San Diego and Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton.

Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the first and third Saturday of each month, 2 to 8 p.m. For an appointment please call the appointment line at (928) 269-2700 weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Dental

The MCAS Yuma Dental Clinic is co-located with the Branch Medical Clinic in Building 1175. The clinic is staffed by four dental officers, 10 dental technicians and one civilian assistant.

The clinic offers a variety of services including restorative, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics and minor oral surgery care.

Orthodontic service is unavailable. Any necessary dental specialty procedure that cannot be performed here will usually be referred to the MCAS Miramar Dental Center, San Diego Naval Dental Center or Balboa Hospital in San Diego.

Sick call hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and 1 to 2 p.m. on a walk-in basis. On Friday, the sick call hours are 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Appointments for active duty members can be made through unit dental representative, by phone or by walk-in at the dental clinic appointment desk. Sick call patients in pain are dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Presently, dental care for dependents of active duty members, retirees and their dependents is not available. Active duty service members are recommended to enroll their families in the United Concordia Dental Plan.
