The Naval Station Mayport Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department (MWR) provides a wide variety of high quality services, facilities, recreation programs and activities. This golf club experienced a multi-million dollar renovation in 2000. The 18-hole, par 72 golf course located on Main Street winds through the intra-coastal waterway and is lined with beautiful oak and palm trees. The club includes a driving range and practice green. The course is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. except in winter when it closes at 6 p.m.Mayport's 6,700- square-foot golf clubhouse features a pro shop and men's and women's locker rooms, as well as Bogey's, an 80-seat restaurant which is open to all hands seven days a week. Bogey's is open from 6 a.m. to dusk. A premier hour is held 4 to 6 p.m. every Wednesday and Friday and features complimentary hors d'oeuvres and drink specials. Private functions are welcome. The Community Center features a Computer Cove (free Internet access), Video Game Room and Castaways Lounge. The bingo hall has an outdoor deck with a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean. The facility is available for private functions at competitive prices. Pizza Hut and Bo Hogs BBQ & Chili Delights are located just inside the Beachside Community Center and the entire building is setup with wi-fi for wireless Internet access. The Bowling Center features 24 synthetic bowling lanes with all new computer scoring, Xtreme Bowling, four pool tables, a video arcade, and Electronic Fast Action Bingo. The lanes have "bumper" capabilities for younger bowlers. This is a terrific place to host your child's next birthday party, Command Party, reenlistment or any other gathering! The Foc'sle Lounge/CPO Club is located next to the Surfside Fitness Center. Foc'sle Lounge is open to all hands for lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and until 8 p.m. daily for active duty, reservists and retired chief petty officers and their families and guests. Family Steak Night is held on the second Thursday of the month from 5 to 8 p.m. Steak Night is open to everyone and children's specials are available. Arrangements for special functions such as re-enlistments, retirement ceremonies and receptions, command socials and picnics, luncheons, hail and farewells, etc. at the CPO Club may be made by calling 904-270-5432.

The lounge is located in the Ocean Breeze Conference and Catering Center, right next to the Navy Lodge. This space reflects Mayport's rich history. It was designed and constructed to resemble the interior of a hangar bay and flight deck of a guided missile frigate (FFG). A mural in the facility shows what the sunrise might look like from the deck of a ship while returning to port here at Mayport. The space is also filled with numerous military command logos and memorabilia. ITT is located in Building 414 and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.,Monday through Friday. ITT offers hotel reservations, cruise bookings and discount tickets for most major Florida attractions, as well as a few attractions in Georgia and North Carolina. Some examples of tickets offered are: Disney World, Six Flags Over Georgia, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Medieval Times, Wet N' Wild, Jacksonville Jaguars, Sea World, Wild Adventures, Biltmore Estate and many more. Design, procurement and repair of fitness spaces as well as providing gear locker materials are part of the preparations provided for deployment. Afloat libraries and movie programs are also part of this office's responsibilities. Training is provided for ship recreation staff, Command Fitness Leaders and ship fitness machine repair technicians. Fleet Recreation also coordinates all aspects of visits for U.S. and foreign vessels, ship homecomings, parties and picnics. The Liberty Program, also known as the Single Sailor program, is geared towards enlisted bachelor and geo-bachelor personnel, E-1 through E-6. Special events, workshops, tournaments, inexpensive trips and more are scheduled ON & OFF base each month, offering a wide variety of exciting programs and activities. The Liberty Program is based out of Planet Mayport, located in Building 46 near Bravo Pier. Planet Mayport is an alcohol and smoke-free environment and is open seven days a week, 365 days a year, weekdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. This contemporary facility features a movie theater, a free Internet computer room, wi-fi throughout, laundromat, ATM, pool tables, video game stations, arcade games, pingpong tables and a snack area.
