NAVAL SECURITY FORCE/VIRGINIA PRECINCT
The mission of the NAS Oceana Naval Security Force is to provide high quality law enforcement, force protection and antiterrorism operations. Headquartered out of Building 320, the Virginia Beach Precinct is responsible for the security of NAS Oceana, Dam NeckAnnex and NALF Fentress.
PASS AND DECAL
Located outside the main gate on Tomcat Boulevard at Building 280 and open Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Provides service in support of installations access to include:
• DoD Automobile Decals
• Visitors/Temporary Passes (24hr)*
• Contractor Badges
• Agent/Assist Access Letters
• Fingerprinting
* Temporary passes are issued at the main gate when Pass and Decal is closed and after normal working hours.
PERSONNEL SUPPORT ACTIVITY DETACHMENT OCEANA
PSD Oceana functions in an integrated Personnelman and Disbursing Clerk (PK) team concept and strives to provide the best quality of service for our customers. There are six teams providing one-stop service to customer commands. The detachment provides personnel administrative support to 50 customer commands comprised of over 90 UICs and 6,500 service records located at NAS Oceana, NAS Oceana Dam Neck Annex and NSA Northwest. Additionally, military pay and transportation support is provided to over 20 deployable aircraft squadrons and air wings located onboard NAS Oceana, comprised of 5,000 personnel. Family Member ID Cards
PSD issues ID cards Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The phone number for the ID Office is 433-2939, 3012 or 3013. All family members must have a valid ID card application (DD Form 1172) signed by the sponsor or the sponsor must be present to have ID card issued and a picture ID for anyone over 18. If the Sponsor is deployed and a family member loses his/her ID card, PSD will issue a 90-day card until an application can be obtained from the sponsor's command, if information is updated in DEERS. A Power of Attorney may also be used for signing authority. Every family member ten years of age and over must have an identification card to use the military commissaries and exchanges, medical facilities and other support services. Children of single parents and dual military are required to have ID cards.
PERSONAL PROPERTY SERVICES/HOUSEHOLD GOODS SHIPPING
There is no personal property office located at NAS Oceana. The Norfolk personal property shipping office is located in Building SDA 336 off of Hampton Boulevard, behind and to the right of the Navy Lodge and Child Development Center. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday, 8 to 11:30 a.m. Counseling sessions to arrange for an outbound shipment are done in a group setting by appointment only.

ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT
This department provides general administrative services for the air station. Within the department are specialists in career counseling, alcohol and drug abuse, counseling and assistance, equal employment opportunities, and the command security manager.
COMBINED BACHELOR HOUSING
Single Navy Personnel checking aboard Oceana will find modern and comfortable living quarters. The CBH consists of 15 buildings, housing approximately 2,200 personnel. These quarters feature 1- and 2-man rooms and are within walking distance of the Galley, Chapel, gym, fitness center, playing fields and clubs. CBH amenities include cable television service in central lounges, picnic and recreational areas, sun decks,vending/lounges and free laundry facilities. CBH transient rooms offer in-room cable television, telephone service and picnic/patio areas. They also offer central kitchen. Conference facilities are available on request.
NAVY HOUSING WELCOME CENTER
Family Housing services are available at the Navy Housing Welcome Center, Norfolk to assist military and Department of Defense personnel and their families find a home in Hampton Roads. The center is located on Hampton Boulevard next to the Navy Federal Credit Union on Baker Street, Building SDA-337. The trained and courteous office staff is ready to assist clients with referrals and assignments. Approximately 90 percent of military families in this area live in civilian housing. Government housing is managed by Lincoln Military Housing. Both Lincoln Military Housing and Government housing referral counselors are located at the same location. Government housing is limited, resulting in a waiting time for a home. The housing staff can provide a listing of affordable housing options in the community and answer your questions.
The housing Rental Partnership Program (RPP) reduces rents and provides housing for members with less than favorable credit in return for a signed lease and rent paid by allotment. Landlords may waive security deposits and credit checks. Navy Housing offers community rental and sales listing from our database. Call 445-2832 for more information.
Several housing-related workshops are also available at the Navy Housing Welcome Center, Norfolk and at the Gateway Inns and Suites, Oceana. The workshops include home buying, selling and property management. These are no cost workshops. Information is provided on qualifying for a loan, closing costs, understanding the responsibilities of owning a home, managing a budget, credit and mortgage pitfalls. Realty Specialists can advise homeowners on how to deal with pending foreclosures and how to seek assistance.
The Housing Welcome Center, Norfolk has a library of housing information and videos relating to worldwide duty stations. Personnel with orders or who anticipate orders may find the library useful to plan for their housing at their new duty station. The NAVYONESTOP Web site puts housing, base and community information for many military areas at the user's Xngertips. Counseling and mediation regarding landlord/tenant issues is available. Naval Air Station Oceana and the Dam Neck complexes are among the more than 170 military activities receiving comprehensive civilian personnel and Equal Employment Opportunity servicing from the Human Resources OfXce (HRO), Norfolk. FFSC Oceana provides free employment information and career counseling for active duty and retired service members and their families. A variety of computer resources are available for military job seekers, as well as workshops on career planning, résumé writing, job search strategies, federal employment and interviewing techniques.
Information & Referral (I&R)
Do you have questions about military or community resources? FFSC Oceana has I&R specialists on staff to help you find the answers you need and provide you with appropriate resources or referrals. Information and handouts are available on many subjects including medical resources, childcare, local schools and non-payment of support.
Individual and Marital Counseling
FFSC's licensed professional counselors provide short-term individual and marital counseling for active duty personnel and their spouses as space allows.A selection of helpful counseling and support groups is also available through FFSC.
Parenting Workshops
FFSC Oceana provides a broad range of parenting workshops on topics such as discipline techniques, developmental stages, children and divorce, parenting strong-willed children, single parenting and much more.
Financial Education
Finances are a common source of stress for people of all income levels. FFSC Oceana offers free Financial workshops for the military community on topics such as checking account management, using credit wisely and saving and investing on a budget. Individual Financial counseling is also available at no cost.
Command Support and Deployment Services
Assisting commands with deployment readiness and personnel training/support is one of FFSC's primary functions.
