THE CHAPEL OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD
This classic chapel from the '50s era stands near the center of NAS Oceana to anchor the base in a spiritual and ethical heritage. Just after morning colors, the sacred music from the chapel's carillons harmonizes with the jet noise as a reminder of what we defend. Chaplains and Religious Program Specialists at the chapel nourish the spiritual lives of many who live, work or visit Oceana. Chaplains conduct weddings and sacraments, education and social ministry programs, pastoral counseling, and contribute to milestone and cultural events.

• Baptisms—by appointment with the Catholic Chaplain.

Protestant Services
Surrounded by the rich spiritual health of over 200 churches in the Virginia Beach Community, the Protestant Community at Oceana exists specifically to reach out in prayer, witness, and love to the military community at Oceana. Protestant faith encompasses many Christian denominations and sects, but they share in common the convictions that the Bible is the only source of authority about God, that the only way to have a relationship with God is by God's grace, and that the only way to experience this relationship is by faith.
