AHRN and MyBaseGuide Join Forces

SAN DIEGO, September 15, 2016 — In continuing efforts to expand its support to the U.S. military and their families around the world, registered Department of Defense contractor, MARCOA Publishing (MARCOA), the publisher of MyBaseGuide military publications, and MyBaseGuide.com, acquired the Automated Housing Referral Network (AHRN.com), the world’s leading online marketplace for military housing on September 9th, 2016.

Since 2004, the formerly DOD sponsored AHRN.com has been supporting the military community during the Permanent Change of Station (PCS) process by providing a trusted resource for the most important aspect of their move: securing a home. In this process, AHRN.com is instrumental in helping local landlords, property managers and real estate professionals connect with quality tenants and home buyers.

AHRN.com was launched as one of the first joint service digital solutions to solve the challenge of finding affordable, trusted housing prior to a service member’s move to a new duty station – reducing stress and improving the quality of life for our men, women and families in the Armed Forces.

“AHRN.com and MyBaseGuide.com together create a comprehensive go-to resource for the military community. With millions of visits per year, AHRN.com has built unique features for moving military that make the process of relocation easier. Together, with MARCOA’s relationship with over 140 military installations across the country, and other products, we now provide a single source for the ultimate relocation experience for our armed forces throughout their career and beyond,” says Matt Benedict, CEO of MARCOA. “….the site will continue to be free to those searching for homes, as well as  basic rental listings. While we intend to improve the functionality of the web site and its services, users can rest assured that our high standards will enhance AHRN.com’s access, speed and security.”

For 50 years, MARCOA has served the military community as an official DoD contractor, and Government Enterprise Printer, providing trusted base guide and map information along with local business and news resources to over 140 military installations across the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, at no cost to the military or government. The combination of AHRN.com and MyBaseGuide provides the vital, local information moving service members need to make better living decisions when they move.

AHRN.com serves over 500 military installations around the world, including active duty and reserve Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines Corps, and Coast Guard. It also serves the housing needs of the National Guard and Veterans with more than 30,000 active listings and hundreds of thousands of landlords and real estate professionals posting their vacancies and properties for sale – a large percentage of whom are Veterans and military spouses.

MARCOA Publishing has been serving the military market and the communities that support them, since 1966.  Annually, MARCOA produces over 1.3 million printed military installation guides, features over 60 million annual search impressions, plus the mobile version, and features critical, up-to-date relocation information to hundreds of thousands of service members.
