This 17-acre park is the home of the unique playground “Leaps and Bounds,” a “right-to-play” park with universal modules that meet the diverse needs of all children, including those who are mentally or physically disabled.

Gardens of the American Rose Center

The nation’s largest park dedicated to roses, Gardens of the American Rose Center is on 118 acres and features more than 60 individual rose gardens, coupled with sculptures, fountains and a reflective pool.

The largest park in Shreveport at 585 acres, C. Bickham Dickson Park contains equestrian trails, picnic areas, a fishing dock and the Red River Education and Research Park.

Lake Bistineau State Park is on the western shore of Lake Bistineau, near Shreveport. The park has cabins, a campground, swimming areas and picnic spots along the lake as well as a trail system that covers almost 10 miles of woodlands and an 11-mile canoe trail.
