Veterinary Clinic

Last Updated :

Veterinary services are provided to pets of active duty and retired military members, as space and duty permit. The Veterinary Clinic, located in Building 326 on G Street, is open from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. However, persons needing medical care for their pets should call for appointments at 747-3375 since the staff also provides care for military working dogs at both Grand Forks AFB and Minot AFB. Base veterinarians are not available on weekends or after duty hours.

If residing on Grand Forks AFB, your pets must be registered on base, must be vaccinated every year, and must be micro-chipped—all services provided by the Veterinary Clinic. If you get your medical care in town, you are required to show proof of vaccinations to the base veterinary clinic.

Other services provided include minor sick calls, diagnosis and testing for infectious diseases, health exams, nail trims, and health certificates and paperwork for travel. The Clinic also provides over-the-counter medicines such as heartworm medication, shampoos, and flea and tick products. The Clinic does not provide surgeries.

In addition to providing complete health care to military working dogs at Grand Forks AFB and Minot AFB, the Vet Clinic staff is also responsible for providing sanitary inspections of food producing establishments which supply DoD facilities in both North Dakota and Minnesota.
