Youth Center

Youth Center Open Recreation is a program that offers developmental and recreational programs for 9-12 year old youths. The facility is located in Bldg 1625.

Registration is free and we open for children from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Mon - Fri; 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays; closed on Sundays and federal holidays phone number 671-366-3490/92. We offer core programming based on Character & Leadership; Education & Career; Health & Life Skills; Sports, Fitness and Recreation and the Arts.

During the summer, we offer camps based on the interest of the children such as Archery, Cultural camp, Sports Camp, Technology Camp, Basketball Camp, Cooking Camp, Drama Camp, Arts and Craft Camp. Babysitting course is also offered once every quarter for youth ages 12-17 years old. Youth Center also offers paid instructional classes such as music which comprise of piano lessons, ukulele, guitar, drums and piano lab. We also conduct music recitals. We also offer Ju-jitsu classes for 5-12 years old.

Teen Center

Teen Center Open Recreation is a program offered for Teens age 13-18 years old. The facility is located in Bldg 1605 and is open from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Mon - Thurs and 2:00 p.m. - 8 p.m. from Fri - Sat, closed on Sundays and federal holidays, phone number 671- 366-7706. Registration is free. Teen program offers opportunities for education, career exploration and development.

Programs offered:

  • TEP (Teen Employment Program) is designed to help teens learn job, life skills and gain work experience and at the same time getting paid for it. It creates opportunities for teens to discover careers with Navy MWR programs.
  • YES (Youth Employment Skills) Program is an on-base youth volunteer program funded by the AFAS (Air Force Aid Society). Eligible to participate are high school age teens (grades 9-12) who are a dependent son or daughter of an active duty Air Force member, assigned to a selected base and reside on or off base.
  • The program also is affiliated with the Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA) and offers activities such as Youth of the Year, Science and Technology, The arts, Sports, Fitness and Recreation, Theater and Music. It is also affiliated with the 4-H program.

Youth Center Sports Program

Our youth sports and fitness program plans and organizes, and conducts sports leagues, skills clinics, camps, fitness/health classes, special sporting events for children 5-18 years of age. Our sports program is affiliated with National Alliance for Youth Sports. 671- 366-3490/92
