Bank of America Military Bank offers full-service banking to the Fort Campbell community with an on-post location as well as nine ATMs. Services are also available in the Central Processing Center, at 2577-A Screaming Eagle Blvd.

Bank of America ATM locations: Aviation Brigade Barracks Parking Area, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, the Commissary, the PX, the Family Resource Center, the corner of Screaming Eagle Boulevard and Bastogne Avenue, Military Clothing Sales, Kentucky Shoppette and Troop Mini-Mall. Civilian pay services are provided by the Garrison Resource Management Office in Building T-39, Room 121. Please call or fax the listed numbers for GS and WG pay inquiries. When contacting, please provide both contact information and a brief description of the pay problem. Inquiries for nonappropriated fund employees should be directed to the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center at 270-798-4938. Civilian pay inquiries for MEDDAC employees should be handled through the MEDDAC customer service representative at 270-798-8869/8539.

The Civilian Personnel Advisory Center provides advice and assistance in the areas of recruiting, attracting and retaining a high-quality civilian workforce. They are also responsible for the improvement of individual and organizational performance, structuring the civilian workforce through position management and classification, and maintaining the well-being of the civilian workforce through management-employee relations, labor relations and civilian workforce development.

Congressional Inquiries

G1 processes and controls congressional inquiry communications received at Fort Campbell. All military personnel and Department of the Army employees have the right to communicate with a member of Congress unless the communication violates regulation necessary to the security of the United States. Inquiries are processed by the assistant chief of staff G1 Special Inquiries Office. Any commander, director or staff officer receiving a congressional inquiry should contact the congressional liaison at the special inquiries office at 270-798-9280.

The Fort Campbell Courier is the weekly post newspaper serving the entire Fort Campbell community including Soldiers, family members, retirees and civilians. It is distributed Thursday evenings to post quarters and specially marked newspaper boxes, both on and off post. The Courier can also be read online at www.fortcampbellcourier.com.

The Courier is one of several information resources produced by the Fort Campbell Public Affairs Office. Among them is the Campbell Facebook page at www.facebook.com/fortcampbell. The Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP)

The Army Substance Abuse Program provides services associated with deterrence and prevention of drug and alcohol abuse and misuse. ASAP performs this service through three branches; Drug Testing, Prevention and the Employee Assistance Program.

Drug Testing

The Installation Drug Test Coordinators are both deterrence and prevention. The drug testing branch provides training to certify the Installation’s Unit Prevention Leaders (UPL), provides quality control checks of all military drug tests, ensures the Drug Free Workplace requirements are met, and oversees all of the installation’s drug tests requirements.

ASAP Prevention Specialists

The ASAP Specialists focus on prevention. ASAP Specialists provide the full-range of prevention services: risk reduction and mitigation, prevention education, and suicide prevention awareness. ASAP Specialists are assigned to specific units and provide services to analyze data, mitigate risk, collaborate with installation agencies, train units, develop training, and provide suicide prevention assistance to units. ASAP Specialists are also responsible for campaign planning, Army Drug and Alcohol Prevention Training (ADAPT), and the UPL Course.

Employee Assistance Program

The Fort Campbell Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides free, confidential services to Fort Campbell’s civilian employees and their family members, and on a space-available basis, Fort Campbell retirees and Family members, and Family members of active-duty Soldiers assigned to Fort Campbell. The EAP provides a variety of individually based services including: screenings to identify solutions to employee problems; short-term “solution-focused intervention”; and, when appropriate, referral to providers, facilities or other services that can assist the employee in resolving his or her problems. EAP also provides training for employees, managers and supervisors for the prevention of, and intervention in, poor job performance, absenteeism and workplace incidents that could result in accidents or injury.

Suicide Prevention

Leaders at all levels have the responsibility to protect their Soldiers on and off the battlefield. This includes recognizing uncharacteristic and suicidal behaviors.

Effective suicide prevention requires everyone in the unit to be aware of the risk factors for suicide and know how to respond. If a Soldier seems suicidal, the time to take action is now. Distress can lead to the development of unhealthy behaviors. People closest to the Soldier (fellow Soldiers, family and friends) are in the best position to recognize changes due to stress or depression and to provide support.

LOOK FOR:
  • Comments that suggest thoughts or plans of suicide.
  • Relationship problems (loss of girlfriend or boyfriend, divorce).
  • Uncharacteristic behaviors (e.g., reckless driving, excessive drinking, stealing).
  • Significant change in work performance or attitude.
  • Depressed mood, hopelessness.
  • Withdrawal from social activities.
WHAT TO DO

In any situation, if a Soldier threatens suicide, take it seriously. You may have very limited time and only one chance to intervene.

Remember the acronym “ACE”

  • Ask: Ask the question directly, “Are you thinking of killing yourself?”
  • Care: Remain calm and actively listen to produce relief.
  • Escort: Never leave your buddy alone. Get him or her to the chain of command, to a chaplain or to the emergency room.

To speak with a United States Citizenship and Immigration Services staff person about the status of your application or to ask questions about requirements, forms, etc., call 800-375-5283. A toll-free military help line 877-247-4645 is available to active armed services members and their family to obtain information about immigration and citizenship services. Your alien registration number is required when calling these numbers. The Legal Assistance Office provides application forms and answers immigration questions on a walk-in basis. ACS Relocation also offers assistance to foreign-born spouses.

The inspector general assists military personnel, their family members and civilians in resolving problems that cannot be solved by the chain of command or other agencies.

The Staff Judge Advocate Legal Assistance Office provides advice and assistance on legal problems including, but not limited to, domestic relations, nonsupport, consumer protection, immigration and taxes. It also offers assistance in the preparation of documents such as powers of attorney and wills. It is recommended that you bring all leases, agreements, contracts, etc., to the Legal Assistance Office for review before signing.

The Fort Campbell Sgt. Brett T. Christian Community Tax Center offers federal and state personal income tax return preparation, assistance and electronic filing. Staffed by attorneys, legal specialists and volunteers, the tax center serves all military personnel, retired military personnel and eligible family members. Appointments can be made by phone or in person. Prior to receiving income tax return preparation assistance, clients must bring all W-2s, documents related to interest and dividend income, documents relating to child care expenses and other pertinent information to the center.
