Army Family Team Building (AFTB) provides personal and professional development classes to promote Army Family mission readiness and force retention.
Developed by family members for family members, classes answer questions about Army life, give suggestions on how to improve your personal life and provide ways to develop as a leader.
There are 34 AFTB classes offered free of charge in three different levels. Classes are open to military spouses, Soldiers, Department of the Army civilians, community members and military parents. Day classes are offered every month and evening classes are available by request.
Individual units and Family Readiness Groups (FRGs) may request complete levels or individual classes based on availability.
In addition to level classes, AFTB also provides unit requested concept block presentations. Newest to the program is the Command Team Spouse Course that is offered semi-annually. The purpose of this course is to provide future or current first sergeant and commander spouses with the information and skills they will need to take on the role of an informed, involved, productive, and proactive member of the Command Team.
