Services Provided: Visit the only place that presents the comprehensive history of U.S. Army Airborne and Special Operations Forces. Explore the sacrifices, courage, devotion to duty, and exploits of those who jump into battle. Travel through time with unique artifact displays, life-size dioramas and exciting audio-visual displays. Come face-to-face with reality with the aid of the motion simulator and large screen theater. Experience this stunning addition to the Army Museum System, designed and constructed specifically to tell this magnificent story.

Admission: Free, with donations graciously accepted. The Motion Simulator and Yarborough-Bank Vitascope Movie charge a small fee.

Gift Shop: An extensive inventory of unique, military-related jewelry, shirts, caps, prints, statues, mugs, books, posters, videos and CDs, models, toys and much more is available.

Services Provided: From World War I to the present, the museum brings the battle proven history of the “All American” Division to life. Audiovisual programs are presented daily. The museum features a gift shop and an aircraft park.

JOHN F. KENNEDY (JFK) SPECIAL WARFARE MUSEUM

Services Provided: The facility illustrates the history of special operation units in the U.S. Army and serves as the branch museum for the U.S. Army Special Forces. Exhibits are also located in the JFK Hall in the Hall of Heroes. This area honors those men who received the Medal of Honor in Vietnam and Somalia. The Col. Arthur D. “Bull” Simons Statue adjacent to the museum honors the man responsible for leading the Son Tay Raid into North Vietnam in 1970. The building the JFK museum occupies is also memorialized for this illustrious hero of Special Forces.

Services Provided: The Museum of the Cape Fear Historical Complex, comprised of the Museum, the 1897 Poe House and the Arsenal, recounts the social, economic and political history of southern North Carolina. Visitors can explore the many exhibits, artifacts and programs at the complex. A great place for children and adults, the Museum Shop offers unique gift items and a large selection of historical publications.
