Comanche County Memorial Hospital is an independent nonprofit acute care facility that provides 283 licensed beds, employs close to 2,000 people on a full- or part-time basis, credentials 250 physicians and benefits from about 100 volunteers. 

The hospital collaborates with Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation, Integris Health and other area facilities in the region to provide a full range of state-of-the-art treatment, from diagnostic procedures to open-heart surgery. Comanche County Memorial is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and the Council on Accrediting Rehabilitation Facilities. 

The hospital's awards and recognitions for superior service include a Reader's Choice "Favorite Hospital" for 1999-2007; Solucient's Top 100 Hospitals: Performance Improvement Leaders—Top 20 large hospitals nationwide; a VHA National Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence in Cardiac Care, 2005, 2006; a Quality Award from Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality; a Oklahoma Institutes of Child Advocacy, Friends of Children Honor, 2007; and a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma Champion of Children's Health Award, 2006. 

Southwestern Medical Center

With 199 beds and a physician staff of more than 150 providing care in 31 medical specialties, Southwestern Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited acute care hospital that provides 24-hour emergency services and round-the-clock X-ray and lab services, as well as comprehensive surgical care diagnostic imaging. Southwestern also features a 59-bed medical/surgical unit, a nine-bed ICU as well as comprehensive cardiopulmonary, women's and children's health services and rehabilitative programs. 

The center prides itself on its series of firsts. It was the first hospital in Lawton to be awarded Accreditation with Commendation—the highest level of accreditation awarded by the Joint Commission, the nation's oldest and largest accrediting body. The center established the first cancer program in southwest Oklahoma, was the first to be accredited by the Commission on Cancer and was the first in area to offer Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy and Image Guided Radiation Therapy. The Southwestern Rehabilitation Center was the first facility of its kind to receive a three-year accreditation from the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, the highest level of accreditation possible. Southwestern Medical Center is also the first—and only—Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center in southwestern Oklahoma. 

Southwestern Medical Center's leadership in providing first services for the region continues today through its high-quality specialized treatments. Its Neuroscience Center is the first and only Joint Commission-accredited stroke program in southwest Oklahoma, offering advanced treatment for neurological diseases and conditions, including brain tumors, aneurysms, stroke, disease of the spine, Alzheimer's, seizures and Parkinson's. Other advanced medical technologies include sleep services, the first and only Sleep Disorders Center in southwest Oklahoma accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine; Child, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric Behavioral Health Services; a Wound Healing and Hyperbarics Center; and a new Sports and Rehabilitation Center.

Located on the campus of Southwestern Medical Center, the Family Medical Center has been providing total family health care since 1992. The clinic's physicians, many of which are also on the active staff of Southwestern Medical Center, are all board-certified and retested every six years to maintain certification. Clinic staff maintains a close consulting relationship with other physicians in the community for problems requiring specialty care. Services at the clinic include complete physicals, pap smears, contraceptive counseling, women's health care, well baby exams, diagnosis and management of major and minor illnesses, preventative health care, cancer screenings, cryosurgery, minor surgery care, immunizations and more. The Family Medical Center accepts most major insurance plans.

WellFast Urgent Care Center offers immediate medical treatment for non-life or limb threatening illnesses or injuries at two locations in Lawton. The timely, cost-effective health care for both children and adults is available on a walk-in/no appointment basis. The clinic is staffed by emergency medicine board certified physicians and physician assistants with more than 30 years combined experience. WellFast features an X-ray facility and basic laboratory and can coordinate specialized treatment to all area hospitals.
