Belynda Lindsey

Chief Warrant Officer 5 Belynda A. Lindsey was selected as the Command Chief Warrant Officer for the 63rd Regional Support Command on 03 February 2015.

After enlisting into the United States Army Reserve in 1982, Chief Lindsey completed her Basic Training at Fort Dix, New Jersey. Immediately thereafter, she was trained as an Electronics in Communications Specialist (31V) during her Advanced Individual Training (AIT) held at the Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Signal Corps. After her initial induction into the military, Chief Lindsey was assigned to the 64th Maintenance Company in Los Alamitos, California. In 1983, Chief Lindsey began her JAG Corps career when she reclassified as a Legal Specialist (71D) and transferred into the 78th Military Law Center (MLC), also located in Los Alamitos, which was under the 63rd US Army Reserve Command (ARCOM), which then became the 63d Regional Support Command (RSC), which became the 63rd Regional Readiness Command (RRC). During Chief Lindsey’s tenure with the 78th MLC, she became a Court Reporter and ultimately achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class before becoming a Warrant Officer in 1994.

In 2006, Chief Lindsey was deployed to Iraq as a Single Augmentee Legal Administrator and assigned to the 13th COSCOM, later renamed the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary). During her tour in Iraq, Chief Lindsey voluntarily performed the duties of a Therapist with the Combat Stress Unit. After her deployment, Chief Lindsey returned to the 78th Legal Operations Detachment to serve as the Legal Administrator in Los Alamitos, California.

Chief Lindsey has been awarded the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with the number 3, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Overseas Reserve Training Ribbon, and the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” devise and Gold Hourglass. Chief Lindsey also wears the Army Superior Unit Award.

As a civilian, Chief Lindsey is a Senior Federal Investigator with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Los Angeles District Office and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Chief Lindsey and her husband, Joe R. Holmes, have been married over 30 years. They have four children: Joqueeta (George) Williams, Hunter (Amanda) Holmes, Lindsey (Aaron) Jackson, and Sundae Holmes; and four grandchildren: Haley Williams, Jasey Holmes, Noah Holmes, and Ashton Newman.
