DETACHMENT 2, 53D TEST AND EVALUATION GROUP
Detachment 2 of the 53d Test and Evaluation Group is responsible for developing, testing, and evaluating tactics and sustainable combat capabilities to meet current and future RQ-4 and U-2 requirements at the tactical and strategic level.
DETACHMENT 8, CAP-UNITED STATES AIR FORCE, PACIFIC LIAISON REGION (AETC)
Detachment 8, CAP-USAF is responsible for ensuring that the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) wings of California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Hawaii are organized, trained and equipped to fulfill Air Force-assigned missions. CAP-USAF provides day-to-day support, advice and liaison to CAP and provides oversight for CAP programs, with particular emphasis on safety and programmatic requirements. CAP-USAF provides assistance and oversight on search and rescue, disaster relief, and other emergencies and contingencies nationwide and is the primary functional interface between other federal agencies and CAP.
DETACHMENT 11, ACC TRAINING SUPPORT SQUADRON
Detachment 11, Air Combat Command Training Support Squadron is responsible for developing, producing, and maintaining syllabi and courseware for U-2, T-38 and RQ-4 formal training. The detachment provides quality control of training contract deliverables and courseware; administers the Graduate Evaluation Program; and chairs the Operations Training Development teams for the U-2, T-38 and RQ-4 programs. Finally, Detachment 11 is responsible for all U-2, T-38 and RQ-4 aircrew training guides; computer-based training; device trainers and simulators; and other related continuation training in direct support of the 9th Reconnaissance Wing’s worldwide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
