Family Child Care

Beale AFB Family Child Care-Stock Photo

There is a need at Beale for infant care, care for shift workers, evening and weekend care, care for children who need small-group settings, special needs care, extended duty care, and full-time and part-time child care.

Family child care meets these needs and offers spousal employment. Spouses will go through a training program to become licensed to provide child care in their own home, either on base or off, as an affiliate home provider. The advantages to being FCC providers include: working in your own home, your own children are a part of your child care business and you can set your own hours.

The training you receive can help your own parenting skills and is recognized by Air Force child care professionals if you decide to work in a different type of child care or school-age program. You can participate in the FCC USDA food program and can use the FCC lending program for needed supplies and equipment.

For parents needing child care, the FCC office has a list available 24 hours a day at 18000 Robert Nicoletti Drive. Vacancy listings are also available by phone at 530-634-5637. All FCC homes are inspected monthly.
