I became a Notary because I enjoy assisting people who are often dealing with a stressful situation: buying or selling a home, refinancing; needing a Living Will or Power of Attorney documents notarized. I bring to the table a welcoming smile and a sense of order to the necessary documents. My goal is to take the stress and strain out of complex and emotional situations, so the client(s) can complete their transactions as quickly and painlessly as possible.

“A signing agent is a trusted professional, usually a state-commissioned notary public, that performs the closing ceremony for real estate transactions, mortgage loan transactions, legal process transactions and other similar transactions where an independent third party is requested. A signing agent should ensure that they are disinterested in the transaction and have a mutual obligation to all parties to remain objective, neutral to any position, ensure awareness of document contents by affiant and make a reasonable effort to prevent fraud and protect affiants from coercion.”


I am an independent contractor who works with numerous Title Agencies in the Denver area. When I receive and accept a closing contract from the title agent, I contact the client to confirm the time, date and location for the closing.


Once I receive the documents, I print them from a secured delivery system and check each page for accuracy. Then I place stickers on the pages that need signed and dated by the client(s). At the closing, I notarize the required sections in view of the clients. I also review the client’s identification documents: current driver’s license, passport, and social security card.


After completion of the closing, I recheck the documents to make sure signatures, initials and dates are included and correct on all pages. I thank the client(s) for their time and trust in me.


I return to the office and double check the documents for accuracy. I then notify the Title Agency through an email or text that the closing is completed and ready for UPS or Fed Ex mailing.


As an independent contractor, I take pride in the services I provide for Title Agencies and their clients. My attention to detail, accuracy and document management are skills that others trust.
