Centre Ice Rink

The Centre Ice Rink at the Delaware State Fairgrounds is a 49,000-square-foot seasonal ice rink and is open mid-August to mid-June. The rink has a snack bar, locker rooms with showers, a heated viewing lobby, party rooms, a video arcade and a pro shop. The rink offers skating classes as well as hockey camps and clinics. Dover Skating Center provides roller skating fun for the whole family. Events include Tot Skate for younger guests, Christian music nights, teen nights and more. The center also offers skating classes and birthday party packages. For public skating hours, visit the center’s website.
The region has golf courses for every skill level. The 18-hole Jonathan’s Landing in Magnolia (www.jonathanslandinggolf.com) has four sets of tees, a driving range, a pitching and chipping practice green, and a 12,000-square-foot short game area as well as a pro shop, dining, and a snack bar in a replica of the Port Mahon lighthouse. Garrison’s Lake Golf Club in Smyrna (www.garrisonslakegolf.com) is a beautiful and historic 18-hole course that has long been a local favorite for high-quality, affordable public golf. It includes an expansive practice range, putting green, pro shop and snack bar. The Dover Par 3 & Driving Range (www.doverpar3golf.com) is a short, fun and easy 18-hole course that can be played in about two hours. If you’re looking to improve your skills, you can practice on their driving range and chipping and putting green. Batting cages are also available at this facility.

Delaware’s Bayshore Byway
Delaware’s Bayshore Byway winds along the north and central Delaware coast, passing through several wildlife areas. The scenic two-lane byway offers visitors great views of the largest preserved coastal marshland on the East Coast. Historic cities offer refreshing stops along the way. The road begins in New Castle and ends just south of Dover Air Force Base.

There’s something for everyone at xbos Family Fun Center. The center’s Adrenaline Zone has one of the largest inflatable play units on the East Coast. The center also has video and arcade games and a bowling alley with state-of-the-art light shows and popular music. Birthday party packages are available, and so are food and refreshments at the center’s cafe.
