The Army Community Service (ACS) Family Advocacy Program (FAP) provides information and education designed to support strong, self-reliant families and to enhance coping skills. ACS FAP provides programs, classes and workshops on topics including parenting, stepfamilies, communication and family violence prevention.
Other programs within ACS FAP are the New Parent Support Program (NPSP) and the Victim Advocate Program (VAP). NPSP serves parents that are expecting a child or have children ages 0 to 3. The VAP provides information and support to victims of partner abuse. VAP services include safety planning, emergency relocation, court accompaniment and referrals.
