Survivor Outreach Services
5001 Screaming Eagle Drive
Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) purpose is to deliver on the Army’s commitment to families of our fallen service members. The SOS mission is to build a unified program that embraces and reassures survivors that they are continually linked to the Army family for as long as they desire. SOS is a holistic and multi-agency approach, delivering services to survivors by providing services in communities closest to where the family resides.
SOS support coordinators function as the long-term support personnel for survivors. They facilitate support groups, provide life skills education, and connect survivors with counseling resources. SOS financial counselors provide surviving families with investment and estate planning education, personal financial counseling, and consumer education. Both SOS support coordinators and financial counselors provide expertise on local, state, and federal benefits available to survivors. They work closely with the Casualty Assistance Center, providing the surviving family with assistance in understanding and applying for their benefits.
