Child Development Center

The post’s Child Development Center provides full-time and hourly care for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age. The CDC’s caring, knowledgeable professionals plan developmentally appropriate programs that are responsive to the unique needs, abilities and interests of your children. Fees are based on total family income.

Family Child Care

The Family Child Care program is a child care option offered in homes both on and off post by authorized providers. Providers may offer weekend care, hourly care and extended care to meet your unique child care needs. All providers are certified by Child Development Services and pass an extensive background clearance prior to certification. Providers receive child care training and their homes are regularly monitored with announced and unannounced visits. The program also offers an opportunity for spouses to contribute to the family income while caring for their own children.

School Age Center

The School Age Center provides affordable before- and after-school care in a quality program that meets the needs of youth and parents. The SAC offers age-appropriate activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of youth. Programs are offered in four service areas: sports and fitness; mentoring, intervention and support services; leisure and recreation; and life skills, citizenship and leadership. The center is partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of America and 4-H Club.

SAC includes meals, swimming, bowling, sports camps, instructional reading and math, environmental education and research trips through field trips, and a summer technology camp. The program is accredited by the National After School Alliance and through the Council on Accreditation.

School Support Services

School Support Services provides Army school-aged youth with educational opportunities, resources and information necessary to achieve academic success. School Support Services is home to the School Liaison Office, where school liaison officers help deliver the best educational resources and information for your children. School liaison officers specialize in education transitions, and make sure incoming and exiting families have information about local schools, graduation requirements, after-school services and programs, youth sponsorship programs and home schooling.

SKIESUnlimited offers instructional programs for youth designed to expand their knowledge, help them acquire new skills, give them inspiration and allow them to explore new disciplines. The SKIESUnlimited program fosters the development of critical life skills, leadership development and social skills.

Sports and Fitness Program

The Child & Youth Sports and Fitness Program provides support for children 3-18 years of age to foster healthy and active lifelong habits. Just some of the sports, fitness and health options offered are Start Smart programs for preschool-aged children, basketball and soccer for all ages, and many other sports-related activities in the after-school program. All coaches are trained and certified by the National Alliance of Youth Sports. Registration and annual sports physicals are required for participation.

Teen Center and Youth Services

The Teen Center and Youth Services, on Sultan Drive in Building 949A, provide activities for youth in grades 6-12. The Middle School Program is for grades 6-8. The Teen Program is for grades 9-12.

The youth program is open after school, during school closures and in the summer. Through formal partnerships with nationally recognized youth-serving organizations, such as 4-H and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, youth have access to programs, standardized curricula, special events, camps, scholarships and more. Computer labs, homework assistance and youth sponsorship programs are also available.
