Welcome to Fort Hamilton! This historic post is the only active-duty military installation in the greater New York City Metropolitan Area and has plenty of schooling and childcare options for your family.

When moving to a new area, one of the top priorities for parents is making all of the necessary arrangements for their children’s education. The Fort Hamilton Child Development Center provides hourly and full daycare for children from 4 weeks to 5 years of age for single and dual military families.

The Fort Hamilton School Age Center provides before and after school care for school-aged children from grades 1 to 5. Hourly care is available, along with full daycare on school closure days. Summer camp is also hosted in July and August.

The Fort Hamilton School has just over 1100 students from Kindergarten to Middle School. The school’s motto is The Mark of Excellence and strives to provide a safe and secure learning experience for all students with staff that are committed to student’s academic development. 3. P.S. 748 Brooklyn School for Global Scholars

P.S. 748 is a school for Kindergarten to Grade 5 that focuses on project-based learning in all grades. Founded in 2010, the school writes its own curriculum that guides units of study that follow New York’s Next Generation Standards. This school has a student-teacher ratio of 14:1.
