Housing Services Office
The Housing Services Office, at 128 Wainwright Drive, is your point of contact for any problems or questions you may have with housing, including discrimination complaints or tenant-landlord disputes. Staff are available to assist you to help with your move to the area. They can provide a list of rentals with corresponding locator maps and give you information regarding the area in which the facilities are located. Soldiers and families with questions about the homebuying process can talk to housing counselors in the Housing Services Office or financial counselors at Army Community Services. Military Family Housing
Military family housing at Fort Hamilton is provided by Balfour Beatty Communities. Fort Hamilton Family Homes consists of five neighborhoods with single-family, townhome and apartment-style homes. Community amenities include playgrounds, tot lots and community events. Lawn care services, 24-hour maintenance services, and trash and recycling services are provided. Utilities are included in your rent — though residents who consume more than the baseline utility consumption have to pay for overages, while residents who consume less than the baseline receive rebates.
Fort Hamilton Family Homes allows pets with certain restrictions. In general, residents may have two pets, though certain dog breeds and exotic animals are not allowed. Management must approve all pets and documentation must be on file prior to move-in. If additional pets are acquired after move-in, the resident must alert the community management office and update the pet addendum.
