Welcome to Fort Irwin! Located about thirty-five miles north of Barstow in San Bernardino County, Fort Irwin was established by Teddy Roosevelt and is home to the National Training Center. Now that you have your orders and are on your way, you’re probably thinking about finding a place to live. Finding the right home can be hard, especially if you’re moving to a new area. Fort Irwin Barracks

Unaccompanied Housing for single soldiers housing at Fort Irwin is managed by each Unit. The Housing Division provides oversight and assistance to the Units and manages the approval of accounts for the Enterprise Military Housing (eMH) database.

Fort Irwin Housing Services Office

The Housing Services Office should be your first point of contact when you get to Fort Irwin, whether you’re going to live on or off the installation. All service members, regardless of grade or marital status, are required to report to the HSO prior to entering in an agreement to rent, lease or purchase off-post housing. The HSO provides counseling, assistance in acquiring off-post rental housing, tenant-landlord complaint mediation, as well as listings of local real estate agents and property managers.

The Villages at Fort Irwin

On-post housing at Fort Irwin is privatized through The Villages at Fort Irwin. Click here to browse the available floor plans and find the best one for you. Homes range from 2-4 bedrooms, and come in a wide variety of styles. Select homes are also available for single soldiers and civilians. There are several neighborhoods available, and the The Villages offers several amenities.
