American Red Cross

The American Red Cross provides services to armed forces personnel, their families and retirees, including family emergency messages, health and safety courses, disaster assistance and education, and blood mobile services. Red Cross offers volunteer opportunities at Moncrief Army Hospital Clinic, and in the Strom Thurmond Building, Room 120, Strom Thurmond Building. Year-round activities for youth volunteers are scheduled. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The local office phone number is 803-751-4329. After duty hours and on weekends and holidays, active-duty members and their families can call 877-272-7337 regarding emergency messages and for access to emergency financial assistance.
