Gammon Physical Fitness Center is at 850 Radio St., Building 850. The facility features flat-screen televisions and the latest in Life Fitness, Nautilus and Precor exercise equipment. Men’s and women’s saunas, separate locker rooms, an indoor walking track and three fitness classrooms complement the facility. A variety of fitness classes are available and include Zumba, gliding, step aerobics, toning, TRX, hip-hop dance, boot camps, cardio sculpting and spinning. Natcher Physical Fitness Center is at 2341 Garry Owen Ave. The facility features three full-court basketball and volleyball courts, two racquetball courts, and a coed weight and cardio room with an array of Life Fitness, Nautilus and Precor exercise equipment. Otto Physical Fitness Center is at 6591 Abel St. The facility features one main basketball court, two auxiliary basketball courts, volleyball courts, weight and physical fitness equipment, saunas, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and equipment checkout. Smith Physical Fitness Center is in Building 5927 on 26th Cavalry Drive. Featured amenities include one main basketball court, two auxiliary basketball courts, a 20-foot-high rock wall and 14-foot-high bouldering wall, two racquetball courts, two volleyball courts, and a large cardio and weight training area, complemented with the best fitness equipment in the industry, as well as numerous 55-inch flat-screen televisions, male and female locker rooms with saunas, and equipment checkout. KILIANSKI SPORTS COMPLEX
The Kilianski Sports Complex is a state-of-the-art facility that features six softball fields and two combination soccer and football fields. Unit-level intramural league play, post varsity sports games and a variety of regional, national and world-level tournaments are conducted at the complex. The sports complex is at 6200 Wilson Road. MILITARY SPORTS PROGRAMS
The Intramural Sports Program offers many sports, including flag football, volleyball, basketball, slow-pitch softball, coed softball, golf, bowling and cross-country. Other special activities include racquetball, tennis, ultimate Frisbee, corn-hole tournaments, etc. The intramural sports office is in the Natcher Physical Fitness Center at 2341 Garry Owen Ave.
Fort Knox has three swimming facilities: the Anderson Indoor Aquatics Center, the Fort Knox Water Park and the Gammon Indoor Pool.
The Anderson Indoor Aquatics Center, in the Anderson Family Complex, includes an Olympic-size swimming pool, a giant waterslide, lap swimming, a large patio with a snack shack and splash park, lessons, a cardiovascular fitness center, a party room and large locker rooms. The Water Park is behind Devers Middle School & Teen Center and is open Memorial Day to Labor Day. It includes two giant waterslides, a water challenge course, a zero-entry pool, a 25-meter pool, a large kids’ wading pool and a large patio. Food service is also available. The Gammon Indoor Pool offers a limited schedule of open swimming and aquatic classes; however, the facility is primarily used for military training and swim meets. It is at 850 Radio Road, Building 850. Telephone: (502) 624-4033.
There is a daily fee for Anderson and the Water Park, or family passes are available for the full year, summer months or nonsummer months.
