Base Regulations

Seat Belts — Seat belts are mandatory for all vehicle occupants. Children under 4 years of age or 40 pounds must be in a car seat.

Cell phone use — Hand held cell phones are prohibited while driving on Post. You may use “Hands Free” devices.

Motorcycles — Motorcyclists and moped operators are required to complete an Army-approved motorcycle safety course prior to riding on Army installations. Motorcyclists without a Motorcycle Safety Course Card are subject to ticketing and/or being refused entry to post. Motorcyclists and moped operators are required to wear helmets, eye protection, gloves, long pants, long sleeves, over-the-ankle shoes and reflective vests or clothing.

Bicycles — Bicycles are not permitted on Grant Avenue. Bicycles can be registered by the Military Police upon request.

Joggers — Reflective clothing is required for running/jogging during hours of limited visibility. The use of headphones while running/jogging on-post is permitted only when on sidewalks and must be removed when crossing streets. Walkers must also remove headphones when crossing streets. Runners and joggers should use sidewalks whenever possible. Running or jogging is never allowed on Grant Avenue. Bicycles, runners, joggers and pets are not allowed in the National Cemetery.
