CHECKING IN

If you are on orders for Fort Polk and plan on flying to the area, book your flight to the Alexandria International Airport in Alexandria, Louisiana. Upon arrival to the Alexandria Airport, report to the Fort Polk welcome desk (adjacent to the baggage claim area) to arrange for transportation to Fort Polk. If you arrive on post between 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, report to the Consolidated In- and Out-Processing Center in Building 250 on Third Street, across from BJACH. If you arrive on a nonduty day or after hours, report to the Warriors Keep on Third Street in Building 240.

If you have an emergency and need your leave extended, refer to your orders and call 800-582-5552 or your old unit commander to extend your leave. If you plan on bringing your family with you initially, you should contact the relocation specialist at the housing office at 337-537-5000/5060 to check availability. Housing may not be available for some time after arrival and you may need to make other plans.

TEMPORARY QUARTERS

Fort Polk has three hotels on post for incoming personnel: IHG Army Hotels’ Traditions Circle houses and Holiday Inn Express’ Magnolia House and Cypress Inn. The check in desk for all Fort Polk hotels is at the Holiday Inn Express, Building 522, 7326 Utah Ave.

Standard and suite accommodations are available, as well as pet-friendly rooms. Amenities include free internet and complimentary breakfast.
