Self-Employment

Lawton’s economy is ripe for hard-working self-starters. For those interested in building their own business, a good source of information is the local office of the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center. In partnership with Southwestern Oklahoma State University, the center offers free advice to business owners and entrepreneurs. Consultants can provide information on topics such as accounting, copyrights, financing and loans packaging, legal issues, managing, marketing, taxes and more. Professionals with years of experience lead seminars and workshops on issues important to small businesses. Additional resources can be found online at the State of Oklahoma’s Business eServices website
