American Red Cross
The American Red Cross Fort Stewart Station is located in the Soldier Support Center, Building 253, Suite 2074-A. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Emergency communications assistance is available after hours by calling 877-272-7337.
In order to initiate a message, callers should have available the full given name (no nicknames please), rank, Social Security number, date of birth and military unit mailing address (including the ZIP code while stateside, or APO AE number while on deployment) of the service member who will be receiving the message, as well as information relating to the emergency, such as person involved, date of birth, etc.
Other services the American Red Cross offers include emergency after-hour financial assistance and volunteer opportunities in a variety of locations on post. The Fort Stewart Station office phone number is 912-767-2197.
For soldiers and family members assigned to Hunter Army Air Field, volunteer services are handled by the Red Cross Chapter office in Savannah: 912-651-5300.
Currently, the Fort Stewart American Red Cross is offering CPR/first aid training and baby-sitting training free of charge to active-duty military and their families. You may call the Fort Stewart office for more information. This is available to Soldiers stationed on Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Air Field.
Further health and safety services (CPR, first aid, lifeguarding/swimming and baby-sitting classes) and disaster relief services are provided by the chapter at the number above, or, for those assigned to Fort Stewart, to the chapter suboffice in Hinesville at 912-876-3975.

Audie L. Murphy Soldier Service Center
The Audie L. Murphy Soldier Service Center, located in Building 253 on Fort Stewart, provides one-stop support for all Soldiers and family members serving both at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield.
In addition to in-processing Soldiers for both posts, center agencies include the Finance Office, Housing Office, Personal Property Office and Civilian Personnel, Veteran Administration Office, and ID cards can be updated there.
Other support agencies include American Red Cross, Army Community Services, Transition Services, Retirement Services, in- and out-processing, Reserve components and Directorate of Human Resources.
The Heritage Bank’s branch office and ATMs on post are convenient to Fort Stewart and Hinesville. The bank also has additional branch offices and ATMs located throughout Southeast Georgia.

The Fort Stewart Commissary is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. We also provide early bird shopping 7:30 to 9 a.m. Tuesday through Friday for 15 items or less. This is self-checkout service only. The commissary is closed Monday. The store is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. Cash, check, debit and all major credit cards are accepted. We accept SNAP electronic cards (formerly Food Stamps) and WIC vouchers.
Commissary privileges are extended to active-duty military personnel, retirees, Guard/Reservists and their family members. Visitors accompanied by an authorized patron are welcome; however, guests may not make purchases unless they are a valid military ID cardholder. Authorized shoppers must show their uniformed services ID at the checkout when making a purchase.
We are a full-service grocery store with farm-fresh produce and meats. Our bakery offers freshly baked bread and custom cakes. The deli has ready-to-eat salads and sandwiches, made-to-order sandwiches/panini, hot rotisserie chicken, an olive bar and sushi. The deli department also offers a large variety of special-order party trays. Our produce department specializes in fresh fruit and veggie trays and fruit baskets and our meat department features a cut-to-order service at no charge. Ask any employee about special orders — some may require advance notice. Fort Stewart Commissary also offers an in-store bank and two 24-hour ATMs located at the entrance to the store.
We hold two mega sidewalk sales, one in May and one in September, as well as sidewalk, seafood sales and farmers markets throughout the year. The savings on these items is up to 50 percent or more.

The Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) provides employment information for Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. Applicants may acquire information concerning Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) and Appropriated Fund (AF) positions by visiting the Fort Stewart CPAC 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday in Building 253, 55 Pony Soldier Road. The NAF office is located in Room 2046, telephone number 912-767-5051/2282, and the AF office is located in room 2013A, telephone number 912-767-8358/1585.
While information on Appropriated and Nonappropriated Funds positions can be provided at the CPAC, it is highly recommended that applicants use the employment websites to obtain the most current vacancy information and application instructions. The website address is www.usajobs.gov. Appointments for the Military Spouse Preference Program registration and counseling can be made through the CPAC office. The Legal Assistance Office at both Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will help you with family law; estate planning (wills); real property; personal property; economic; civilian administration (notary services, immigration and naturalization, powers of attorney); military administration (FLIPL, letters of reprimand); torts; taxes; and civilian criminal matters.
Generally, appointments must be set up, but some services can be provided on a walk-in basis, such as notary services, powers of attorney and providing information papers on various topics. For ad valorem forms, you must present your most recent end-of-month LES. If signing for your soldier, you must have a power of attorney authorization.
Fort Stewart Location:
The Legal Assistance Office is located in Building 709 on Gulick Avenue. Any activity requiring an attorney, including the completion of a will, requires an appointment.

Hunter Army Airfield Location:
The Legal Assistance Office is located in Building 1211 on Horace Emmet Wilson Boulevard, directly across from the flagpole. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. For assistance, call 912-315-5115. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Client services are available 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; and 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday. The office is closed for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The legal office also provides a number of additional services for individual Soldiers and commanders at both Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield.
Claims Office supervises the processing of claims by military families and Department of the Army civilians for missing or damaged personal property. This service is provided at the Fort Stewart legal office in Building 709 on Gulick Avenue 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For assistance, call 912-767-8185.
The Administrative and Civil Law Office provides legal review and advice for labor, employment, contracting, ethical, fiscal and other administrative duties. The Criminal Law Division assists commanders in preserving good order and discipline within their units by prosecuting criminal offenses under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, processing administrative separation actions and preparing nonjudicial punishment actions in accordance with Article 15, UCMJ. This service is provided at the Fort Stewart legal office in Building 709 on Gulick Avenue 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday. Trial Defense Services are available at both Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. The legal office provides defense counsel services to all military personnel. The attorneys represent Soldiers facing disciplinary under the UCMJ.
They also advise Soldiers regarding criminal matters when no military jurisdiction has been exercised, but when the military may take jurisdiction of the offense. The attorneys also represent military personnel who are pending administrative separations.
Soldiers must show up for Article 15 briefings and chapter briefings in proper uniform (no PTs or civilian attire) with a completed copy of their entire packet. Soldiers must appear with an original and a copy of the chapter packet. No one will be admitted into a briefing after it begins.
Trial Defense Services are conducted at Fort Stewart in Building 621 on William Wilson Avenue. General office hours are 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday. The office is closed on division training days. Soldiers moving to Fort Stewart or Hunter Army Airfield are authorized to forward mail to their new unit for a maximum of 90 days while they relocate and get a new address.

The entire Post Unit Ministry Team extends to you a personal invitation to worship with us and participate in our many religious ministries and programs. We are dedicated to ensuring the free exercise of religion for Soldiers, family members, retirees and DOD civilians. We seek to accomplish this mission by providing opportunities for worship, religious education, pastoral counseling ministry, family life ministry, and a multitude of workshops and seminars.
Religious programs include Installation Religious Education, to include Sunday School and Bible studies for children and youth, Protestant Women of the Chapel, and Catholic Religious Education. Programs also include Family Life Ministries, which offers counseling sessions for marriage and family matters, as well as programs for couples, parents, children and the entire family.

Retirement Services Office
The Retirement Services Office (RSO) is located in Building 253, Suite 1071, in the Audie L. Murphy Soldier Service Center. Those interested in retirement should visit the RSO to obtain information regarding retirement eligibility/processing and to submit retirement applications.
Service members are thoroughly briefed on benefits and entitlements prior to retirement. Additionally, retired personnel are encouraged to call or visit the RSO regarding any questions or problems they may encounter. Courteous and prompt assistance is provided for all visitors. Our office is handicapped-accessible.

Soldiers & Family Assistance Center
The installation Soldier & Family Assistance Center (SFAC) is a garrison asset designed to provide a supportive environment for our wounded, ill and injured Soldiers and their family members assigned to the Warrior Transition Battalion (WTB). The SFAC encourages a seamless transition through various on-site resources for Soldiers as they heal to return to duty, return to duty in a different MOS or transition back to their respective civilian communities.
The center provides a one-stop location to ensure their needs are met by providing on-site professionals to assist with a gamut of resources, linking Soldier and family members to information, military personnel issues, financial counseling to make long-term decisions, family assistance, education counseling, pre-separation counseling, benefits counseling and more. The goal of the SFAC is to help
Soldiers and their family members identify and examine their options, establish a sense of control, set realistic goals and develop their own support network.
The center is located in Building 4973, across from the Winn emergency room entrance, and is one of the nine large SFACs within CONUS. The SFAC understands that each Soldier’s situation is different, and staff work diligently to help find the resources to complete their own personal goals. Senior leadership understands the special needs of our wounded, ill and injured Soldiers and has placed the highest priority on providing support to our Warriors in Transition.

Expert staff located in the SFAC include: SFAC director, two human resource specialists, two ACAP counselors, social service coordinator, financial adviser, information and referral specialist, Child and Youth School Service liaison, Military Finance Pay Team, outreach and the Survivor Outreach Support program team. In addition, the SFAC also hosts the following partner organizations: Veteran of Foreign Wars (VFW) representative, VA health care liaison, VA Coming Home to Work Program, AW2, and an ombudsman to provide on-the-spot resources.
