How Do You Access Health Care When You Arrive in Hawaii?

Aloha and E Komo Mai! (Welcome!) When active-duty military arrive in Hawaii, your personnel office will ensure that you in-process through your service’s Military Treatment Facility (MTF). There you will be presented with available TRICARE health care system options.

TRICARE Prime is the military’s managed care option and is available at the Air Force’s Hickam Clinic, Tripler Army Medical Center, Schofield Barracks Health Clinic, Marine Corps Base Hawaii Clinic, Makalapa Clinic and the Coast Guard’s Sand Island Clinic.

Each military MTF offers orientation sessions at enrollment sites that explain TRICARE Prime. Spouses are encouraged to attend the orientation with active-duty service members. You and your family will be assigned a primary care manager (PCM) at your respective clinic that will manage your health care.

In Hawaii, Health Net Federal Services is the TRICARE Managed Care Support Contractor and civilian partner of the military health care system.

For more information about TRICARE, call 800-242-6788 or visit your nearest TRICARE Service Center.
