The Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) provides services to all Army activities in Hawaii, with the exception of the Hale Koa Hotel, the Hawaii Army and Air National Guard, the Army and Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) and the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA). The service workforce has more than 4,500 appropriated fund (APF) and 1,000 nonappropriated fund (NAF) employees. The CPAC operates both appropriated (AF) and nonappropriated fund (NAF) offices that provide job information. The NAF Office is open 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except on federal holidays, and is in Building 1507 on Fort Shafter Flats. The AF Office is open 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except on federal holidays, and is in Building 126 on Fort Shafter. The AF Office can be reached at 808-438-4529. DOD Military Spouse Preference Program — Priority Placement Program (PPP)
Spouses of active-duty military members of the armed services who have some type of civil service appointment eligibility may maximize their job opportunities by taking advantage of the Spouse Preference Program for civil service positions.
