Enthusiastic students who learn to speak out clearly and relate confidently with others will have an inside track to lifetime success.
Drama Kids develops all kids. Our children’s acting classes and after school programs are a place where all children, from the shy to the outgoing can develop at their own pace, with plenty of positive encouragement.
Our specialty is using a wide range of unique drama activities in our children’s acting classes to focus the bold, outspoken child and to draw out the quiet child or the inarticulate child and help them reach into themselves to discover their full potential.
Drama Kids International uses our famous copyrighted original curriculum in each class. Our after school programs include a variety of drama-related educational classes and camps, primarily for children and young adults, ages 6-17, using a progressive curriculum that allows students to have some serious fun, while also enabling them to develop:
Acting skills
Public speaking skills
Creative Thinking Skills
Leadership Skills
Networking and Social Skills
Self Confidence and Self-Esteem
A Positive Approach to Life
Friendship Skills like Compassion
Unlike typical children’s acting classes, most of which focus on preparation for a single performance, the Drama Kids “secret sauce” is a fun, fast paced, and developmental curriculum consisting of over 450 unique and detailed lesson plans that ensures happy and successful students. Drama Kids children’s acting classes feature new curriculum, scenes and activities in each class. Each class features 4-6 different activities, with every class focusing on speech development, creative movement, and a wide variety of primary activities, which include whole class plays, mini-snippets, scene starters, small group improvisations, and much more. Each class meets once per week for one hour after school or Saturdays.
Our Summer Drama Camps are amazing! They’re held outside in Cedar River Park behind Carco Theatre in Renton, and have a variety of themes for both half-day and full-day camps. Many of our camps have the kids writing their own plays, which are performed for parents on the final day!
