514th Air Mobility Wing

The 514th Air Mobility Wing is a key member of Team McGuire. With more than 2,600 reservists, they share the C-17 Globemaster III and the KC-l0 Extender aircraft, facilities and equipment of the 305th Air Mobility Wing.

Through the Reserve Associate program, 514th AMW Reservists work alongside their active duty counterparts in operations and training, maintenance, aerial port, civil engineering, personnel, security forces, communications, and medical and aeromedical evacuation. Many Reservists also deploy to overseas locations on annual tours and in activated status supporting real world operations.

The wing has been a leader in the Air Force Reserve since activation for Korea and has racked up an impressive record of accomplishments.

With a highly proficient and active aeromedical evacuation force, 514th aeromedical evacuation crews are often in the lead when disaster strikes.

The achievements of the 514th AMW Reservists exemplify their motto of “The Freedom Wing, Volunteers for America.”
