78th Training Division (Operations)

The 78th Training Division is one of the oldest residents on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Originally activated in 1917 at Camp Dix, the 78th Infantry Division was originally allocated to New York and Northern Pennsylvania in the National Army plan. Currently, the 78th Training Division trains and assesses Army Reserve units by executing Combat Support Training Program Exercises at JB MDL, N.J. The unit is ­physically located on Dix.
