As a vice president of wealth management at Raymond James, Ken is responsible for providing strategic direction and leading his practice’s financial planning and business development efforts. With over 27 years of experience in the financial services industry, Ken’s curiosity and love of people is what fuels his desire to seek out new ideas to help manage and preserve his clients’ wealth.

In 1989, after serving in the U.S. Army as a first lieutenant in West Germany, Ken began graduate school back in the U.S. He then formally started his career as a financial advisor with Charles Schwab in 1993. In 2007, Ken joined USAA, where he worked as senior wealth manager, covering all aspects of client acquisition and management in multigenerational wealth planning, until he joined Raymond James’ Scottsdale office in October 2019.

Ken leverages the significant leadership experience he gained in the Army with his 27-plus years of investing knowledge to provide strategic financial direction to clients. Ken is skilled in portfolio development and investment management.

He has extensive experience advising active duty and retired military officers as well as high-net-worth civilians and families to help them preserve what they’ve earned and plan for the future.

Ken received his bachelor’s degree in public administration and his MBA from George Mason University, as well as a Master of Science in financial services from the American College of Financial Services. After college, Ken served for four years in the Army, leading a team of 34 soldiers in the Second Armored Cavalry Regiment, where they performed border patrols along the Iron Curtain near the end of the Cold War.

Growing up, Ken traveled the world with his family as his father was also an Army officer. Although they moved 21 times before Ken graduated high school, Ken considers Copenhagen, where he spent many fond summers and Christmases as a child, to be his hometown.

Ken now lives in Cave Creek, Arizona, with his wife, Anne McKee. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, CrossFit, good food, and spending time with family.
