Luke AFB FamCamp: The Ultimate Camping Experience

If you’ve never heard of Luke AFB FamCamp, don’t worry. You might have, instead, heard its more formal name: Saguaro Skies FamCamp. This camping experience on Luke AFB only recently opened in late summer 2020, but it’s already off to a great start.

With 61 total RV spaces, 100% pull-through sites, and year-round access, you can be sure that Luke AFB FamCamp is going to meet all of your needs from an excellent camping experience.

Never gone to an on-base FamCamp? Luke AFB is here to welcome all first-timers with state-of-the-art sites and plentiful amenities. Each spot is hooked up with a 20/30/50 amp as well as sewer and water. They also offer on-site laundry facilities (for free), showers, a nearby dump station, and picnic tables.

How To Reserve Your Spot

Luke AFB RV Park is a great way to cut down the cost of other vacation opportunities in favor of a relaxing, equally enjoyable, and cheaper solution. If you’re someone without a military ID or current visitor’s pass, you’ll need to call the Lightning Gate Visitor’s Center at 1 (623) 856-4991/4993 to acquire one.

For those of you who already have base access, which is likely most everyone reading this, you can call the following number to get in touch with the team.

Luke AFB FamCamp Address

Luke AFB, AZ 85307

Luke AFB FamCamp Phone Number & Hours of Operation

Currently, the nightly rate is $30.00 for a spot, and two adults and minor children are authorized. If you plan on having more than two adults in your camper, you must contact the office for authorization, or you may be charged. A max of two pets is allowed; any more also requires office verification. As with anything, these rates are subject to change.

ADA Accessible Sites

Four of the campsite’s 61 camping spots are ADA compliant/accessible. If you or a family member have disabilities, that means you can still use Luke AFB FamCamp’s amenities with ease! One of visitors’ favorite parts is the showers, which include dedicated disability stalls with plentiful handrails and fold-down seats.

The accessible sites are currently located at spots 22, 23, 32, and 33. To park at one of these spots, you MUST have a handicap placard or plate. If you are parked at one of these spots without proper verification and a need becomes available for them, you will likely be asked to move.

Luke AFB FamCamp gives military members, their families, and visitors an exciting and cheap way to get out of the house and enjoy the great outdoors. To learn more about the site’s rules and regulations (which we HIGHLY suggest you do beforehand), visit their official website.
