Parris Island/Marine Corps Air Station


The Community Service Centers at Parris Island and MCAS Beaufort are staffed with highly trained professionals who are ready to serve you—single and married Marines, family members, reservists, military retirees and civilian employees. Among the services offered are: personal financial management, disaster and crisis assistance, individual, marriage and family counseling, exceptional family counseling, exceptional family member program, information and referral, retiree’s activities, relocation assistance, career counseling, training and employment assistance for military spouses, and new parent support and family advocacy programs. Services aboard Parris Island are located in Building 17 and may be reached by dialing 228-2044 or (800) 826-7503. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and evening appointments by special arrangements. The Air Station office is located in Building 807, and can be reached by dialing 228-6126. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.


Education Centers


Lifelong Learning Education Centers include education counseling, traditional and distance learning programs, tuition assistance, apprenticeship, military academic skills program, SMART transcripts, DANTES and classification testing, and proctoring.

Career Resource Management Center


The Career Resource Management Center at Parris Island and the Air Station provide important services related to transition and employment. This office administers the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) and Family Member Employment Assistance Programs (FMEAP). The Parris Island Center is located in Building 923.
Interested personnel are encouraged to call 228-2761/3377 for information. The Air
Station center is located in Building 807 and may be reached at 228-7701.


Family Advocacy Program


The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) provides counseling, education and training to help individuals and families eliminate violence in their lives. Prevention of domestic violence begins with each individual. FAP can provide the information and resources to increase awareness of the extent of domestic violence and help protect everyone in the family. The FAP has a Victim Advocate at both Recruit Depot Parris Island and Marine Corps Air Station to assist anyone who believes they are victims of abuse or to report suspected abuse. Classes are available to assist with stress and anger management, spouse and child abuse awareness, and parenting skills.


New Parent Support Program (NPSP)

New Parent Support Program is a professional team of social workers and nurses who provide supportive and caring services to military families. Our trained home visitors have extensive knowledge of the issues encountered by today’s parents. These home visitors are sensitive to the unique challenges facing military families. The N.P.S.P. helps families cope with stress, isolation, post-deployment reunions, and the everyday demands of parenthood through a variety of programs including, Baby Boot Camp (Pre-Natal classes), home visits, support groups and parenting classes.
